Federally Qualified Health Centers

Federally Qualified Health Centers are community-based health care providers that receive funds from the HRSA Health Center Program to provide primary care services in underserved areas. They must meet a stringent set of requirements, including providing care on a sliding fee scale based on ability to pay and operating under a governing board that includes patients. 

Federally Qualified Health Centers may be Community Health Centers, Migrant Health Centers, Health Care for the Homeless, and Health Centers for Residents of Public Housing.

Care Net Pregnancy Centers 

Care Net pregnancy centers offer accurate and helpful information in a compassionate environment. If you think you may be pregnant and are in search of information about pregnancy options, a free pregnancy test, or post-decision support; the experts at your local Care Net pregnancy center can help.

Care Net pregnancy centers are non-profit and supported by the community, which means almost all services are available free of charge. Contact your local center in advance for financial inquiries.

Alternatives Pregnancy Center

Alternatives is a Denver based non-profit that provides pregnancy testing, STD testing and treatment, material support, options counseling, and ultrasounds. Alternatives Pregnancy Center offers services free of charge to anyone who thinks she may be pregnant, is experiencing an unintended pregnancy, or is grieving due to a past abortion.

Marisol Health
Marisol Health operates licensed medical centers in the Denver Metro Area fully equipped to help women make important decisions about their reproductive health.  Some Marisol Health services are free of charge. That includes pregnancy testing, limited ultrasound, counseling, and supportive services.  Other services are offered at a minimal cost, including STD testing and treatment for both men and women.

Society of St. Vincent de Paul - Denver
Last fiscal year over 450 local volunteers in the Society of St Vincent de Paul, Denver Metro Council helped over 21,000 individuals with rent, utilities, food, clothing, eldercare and other types of assistance. As a Catholic lay organization, an essential part of the Society’s work is to maintain the confidentiality and dignity of those being served, regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or age.

Baby Bear Hugs

Baby Bear Hugs changes the lives of “soon to be” parents and families with infants and toddlers in Eastern Colorado by providing parenting education, resources, and support. It is our goal that all children will become productive, happy adults who give back to their communities and that they will have every opportunity available to them to fulfill their potential, develop assets that empower them to resist failure, and have strong supportive adults in their lives. To this end, Baby Bear Hugs will provide parenting education, support, and connection to community resources to all expectant parents and families with children 0 to 3 years old. Services are at no cost to the families.

Baby Bear Hugs is based in Yuma County and can serve families in Lincoln, Washington, Logan, Phillips, Elbert, Sedgwick, Morgan, and Yuma counties.

But in a beautiful and practical response, more than 300 pioneering hospitals, hospices, and community-based organizations in the U.S. and around the world are now providing perinatal hospice & palliative care support for families who wish to continue their pregnancies with babies who likely will die before or shortly after birth.

There are 3 programs located in Colorado: 
Bella Natural Women's Care, String of Pearls, and Hospice de Valle.

Rachel's Vineyard Colorado
